COA’s 120 Years of Excellent Public Service
Quezon City – The celebration of the Commission on Audit’s (COA) 120th founding anniversary focused on delivering meaningful public service thru change with the theme “Matapat na Serbisyo Para sa Makabuluhang Pagbabago.”
COA’s week-long celebration was highlighted by the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) 2019 honoring exemplary COA officials and employees for their unwavering display of courage, integrity, and loyalty in the performance of their duties as public servants. The recognition program was held at the COA Sports and Cultural Complex, Central Office, Quezon City on May 06, 2019.
COA Chairperson Michael G. Aguinaldo was amazed when so many COA officials and employees reached 40 years of service. He said that it’s this kind of loyalty and dedication that the country and the Filipino people need at this time.
Awardees for the 40 years of service from COA Regional Office III were RD Lynn S.F. Sicangco, ARD Elenita D.V. Lumongsod, Supervising Auditors Emma I. Talens, Mirasol B. Liwanag, Josefina Y. Guevarra, Edelmira M. Gonzales, and Remedios P. Soto; and Audit Team Leaders Alma D. Padilla, Edelina E. Goseco, Emilia L. Sarmiento, Rosita P. Quito, Adelaida A. Bugarin, Elizabeth A. Nuqui and Teresita D. Lagason.
COA established PRAISE through COA Resolution No. 2002-007 dated 3 October 2002 and amended by COA Resolution No. 2017-008 dated 18 May 2017, in its efforts to recognize, acknowledge and reward productive, innovative and growing acts of its human resource. – Janette Canlas Ama
